Does matte or gloss lamination cost more?

Practically no difference. The films cost nearly the same and run on the same machine at the same speed. If a supplier quotes you a big premium for one over the other on a standard gift box, ask what exactly the surcharge covers.

Can I do matte lamination with gold foil stamping on top?

Yes — this is one of the most popular combinations we produce. Foil stamps beautifully onto matte film; the contrast between the muted background and the metallic logo is exactly what makes it look premium. The order is: print → matte laminate → foil stamp.

Which finish is better for shipping and storage?

Both protect equally against moisture. For scratch resistance in transit, gloss hides light scuffs slightly better on light colors, while dark matte boxes need good inner packing (tissue or individual poly bags) to avoid rub marks. We pack accordingly as standard.

Does the finish affect the minimum order?

No. At Yoofo, trial orders start at 100 pieces and bulk at 2,000 regardless of finish — matte, gloss, and soft-touch all run on the same line with the same setup.
